Having been inspired by Chicago dance pioneers such as Ron Hardy, Farley Jackmaster Funk, and The Hot Mix 5, Rahaan has been playing music spanning everything from HOUSE, DISCO, BOOGIE & FUNK since the 80’s.

His fearsome talent behind the decks has led to a fanatical worldwide following while his mixes are highly regarded, weaving rare and choice cuts flawlessly.

Rahaan has released numerous tracks through music labels JiscoMusic, Stilove4music, KAT and was a producer on Peven Everett’s “Sexy One” on Unified Records. His performances have spanned the globe and included famed parties such as the Southport Weekender, Northern Soul and Bring The Heat.

In what was a special day, Our House Sydney teamed up with good friends Soul Of Sydney to bring its first installment of  the “Spirit Of House” Block Parties. These parties allow us to pay special tribute to 30+ years of House music and its Funk & Disco roots in FREE family friendly & PEOPLE FRIENDLY out-door locations including car parks, lane-ways, parks, roof-tops and warehouse spaces around town.

The Venue: As you can see in the picture, we didn’t end up in the park for the House Picnic as we originally intended due to some ominous clouds and some pretty temperamental Sydney weather. We did however set up our Sound in this dope inner-city Car Park location smack bang between a Chinese Temple and 3 buildings.

One for the House faithful for sure! Thank you for the support kids and look out for us doing it all again very very soon! Big luv to everyone who came down and especially the DJ’s who donated their time like true champions!
